Audacity and Podcast : Covid Conversations

Welcome Back!

This week we learned about Podcasting. A Podcast is actually a subscribe-able series of podcast episodes. A podcast episode is one singular audio file, but the key is that it is subscribe-able. All podcasts are audio files, but not all audio files are podcasts. (Source: What is a Podcast?)

I learned how to create an audio file with the program called Audacity. Audacity is very easy to use, and there is a lot of editing materials. To be honest, there are more options available on this free download than I have even been able to use or learn. I would recommend this software for anyone looking to get involved in creating and editing audio files and eventually those who are interested in podcasting.

This was a fun assignment, but I had a hard time figuring out what I was going to talk about for 5-10 minutes. I ended up discussing some of my thoughts about Coronavirus. Here is a link to my first ever podcast Audacity Podcast : Covid Conversations and also a link to my E-portfolio where my podcast can also be found.

The one thing that I didn't need to use was the LAME MP3 exporter which was suggested in the course study materials. I found it to be easy to export my MP3 file directly to my google drive, I changed the settings to "anyone with a link can view", and shared the link to my E-portfolio (also hosted by Google) and directly to this blog above.

Thanks friends!
See you next week for more Multimedia Applications and Tools learning.
